About us
Why Choose KALIBRA?
KALIBRA is a calibration and testing laboratory accredited. As a calibration laboratory, it provides accredited calibrations in the quantities of length and plane angle with most precise standard currently in Slovakia. As a testing laboratory, it is also accredited for dimensional measurements, including measurements performed on a coordinate measuring machine and measurements using laser interferometry.
Our Services
Our Calibration & Metrology Services
Proven Competence Since 2013
KALIBRA is accredited by the Slovak National Accreditation Service (SNAS) under ISO/IEC 17025:2017 as a calibration laboratory for the quantities of length and plane angle, and as a testing laboratory.
Since 2013, regular accreditation audits have confirmed our technical competence, metrological traceability and quality management.

Many Years of Experience & Proven References

Why Work With KALIBRA
Dimensional specialists for length, plane angle and CMM.
Accredited & EU-Recognised
Accredited by SNAS with ILAC MRA recognition, our results are accepted by customers and auditors across the EU. We apply impartial procedures, full traceability, and documented uncertainty, providing dependable evidence for every audit.
Dimensional Metrology Specialists
We focus on length and plane-angle instruments and CMM inspection. That specialisation yields consistent methods, stable results over time, and practical recommendations that fit real production environments.
Lab in Detva or On-Site at Your Facility
Calibrate in our controlled laboratory in Detva or let us come to your facility. Portable reference standards and a defined workflow minimise downtime while keeping documentation identical to lab work.
Clear, Audit-Ready Certificates
Certificates present results, deviations, uncertainty, method and traceability in a clean, readable format. Delivered in Slovak, Czech, English, or in German on request, they attach directly to PPAP, ISO and customer documentation.
Predictable Turnaround & Scheduling
We can efficiently handle calibration even for larger batches of instruments, we always agree lead times in advance, and we propose the schedule for future calibrations. After completion, you will receive a list of calibrated instruments for quick updating of your internal register.
One Point of Contact & Safe Logistics
Our coordinator manages pickups, on-site days and document delivery as a single point of contact. We handle packing and return carefully and can label or record new instruments to keep records consistent.
What is Calibration?
Calibration is an operation that establishes, under specified conditions, a relationship between the values indicated by a measuring instrument and the values realized by standards.
Calibration in the field of length and plane angle is used to verify metrological characteristics of measuring instruments and to determine their measurement errors.
In practice, this means that:
- the instrument is compared with a standard or reference measuring system of higher accuracy
- measurement errors (indication errors) are determined
- measurement uncertainty is evaluated
- metrological traceability is ensured
- results are reported in a calibration certificate
What is On-site Calibration?
On-site calibration means that our metrologists perform calibration of measuring instruments and equipment directly at your premises instead of in the laboratory.
- Instruments are large or integrated in machines
- Production downtime must be kept to a minimum
- Transport would be costly or risky
What is CMM Dimensional Inspection?
CMM dimensional inspection is 3D measurement and evaluation of machined components on a coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
Using a probing system, the CMM measures distances, diameters, positions and angles between features, evaluates geometric relationships between surfaces and axes, and compares the measured values with nominal data from the technical drawing or CAD model
- Documented measurement procedures
- Defined measuring range and expanded measurement uncertainty
- Traceability of measurements to SI units
- Carried out within the accredited scope
What instruments do you calibrate?
Dimensional tools: gauge blocks, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, height gauges, plug/ring/cylindrical gauges, and plane-angle instruments. We also perform dimensional inspection on a CMM.
Can you calibrate at our site?
Yes. We calibrate in our laboratory in Detva or on-site if possible. Pickup/return can be arranged if shipping the tools is easier for you.
Are your certificates accepted across the EU?
Yes. Results are issued under ISO/IEC 17025:2017 norm and recognised via the ILAC MRA, so they can be used with customers and auditors in other EU countries.
